This Year (2009)

In spring when it comes to the garden hope springs eternal. Even though we have only had marginal success with tomatoes the last 2 or 3 years and no success with watermelons I have dedicated the most space in my garden to these two plants. We have the following plants or seeds planted in our garden this year (so far):

  • tomatoes
  • bell peppers
  • jalapenos
  • zucchini squash
  • yellow crookneck squash
  • watermelons
  • radishes
  • carrot
  • onion
  • grape
  • navel orange
  • passion fruit
  • grapefruit - we don't anticpate fruit as this tree is very young
  • apple - new - we don't anticipate fruit this year.
  • peach - new - we don't anticipate fruit this year.

Last Year

Last year (2008) was a pretty good year in our garden. Here is a list of the many fruits and vegetables we had in our garden last year:

Note: The numbers indicate how successful we were with each of the items.
0 = We had a plant or plants but no fruit
1-4 marginal production, either the harvest was really small or the fruit that was produced was of poor quality and may not have been edible
5-10 = successful with 5 being good and 10 indicating prolific production with more than enough to share.

Spring and Summer:
